Florida's Voice for the Transportation Construction Industry
For more than 75 years, the Florida Transportation Builder's Association (FTBA) has
been Florida's voice for the road and bridge building industry in Florida. Based in
Tallahassee, FTBA is a nonprofit organization that exists to promote the importance of a
strong, effective and integrated transportation system statewide.
Gulf Coast Builders Exchange
The Gulf Coast Builders Exchange (GCBX), represents a broad cross section of the
building industry, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and others from
affiliated industries. GCBX's advocacy efforts on behalf of the building industries are
conducted in Manatee & Sarasota Counties. Wholly owned by the membership, the
Builders Exchange is a not-for-profit corporation operating as a trade organization under
the guidance of a volunteer board of directors as representatives of the industry.

Manatee Chamber of Commerce
Members of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce show a commitment to the community
that is second to none. These businesses provide invaluable input on area issues and
programs that support businesses and residents of Manatee County and the South Tampa
Bay Area. With 46 committees and task forces, there is a wide range of opportunities for
individuals to get involved in their area of choice and the 830+ member representatives who
serve in these groups are the backbone of the Manatee Chamber.
Sarasota Chamber of Commerce

The Venice/Nokomis/Osprey area was developed as a resort destination by the Brotherhood
of Locomotive Engineers Realty Company about the same time that the Chamber was
formed and has become home for many of the visitors that wanted to be part of the lifestyle
that we all enjoy.
Sertoma Club of Venice - Kevin Hicks (Past Vice President & Member)
The Sertoma Club of Venice was chartered in 1976 as part of Sertoma International, a
leading nonprofit civic service organization for more than eight decades. Since 1912,
professionals have banded together to provide help for their communities, to foster friend-
ships, and to learn more about the needs of mankind.
Kiwanis of Bradenton - Mike Novak (Member)
Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities.
Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged,
and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for
pediatric research, and much more. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience,
dream, and succeed, great things happen.
West Florida CAI
The West Florida Chapter of Community Associations Institute serves the educational,
business, and networking needs of community associations in the Sarasota, Bradenton, and
Venice area. Members include condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations
as well as those who provide services and products to associations. The West Coast
Chapter has over 750 members.
Bradenton Area EDC
The Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation is the lead economic development
organization for the Bradenton Area's nine communities located on the south side of Tampa
Bay. The EDC works to diversify the local economy by attracting and retaining high-wage
jobs for area residents, and connecting existing businesses to the resources they need to
succeed.
