Mark A. Ventriglia

Born and raised in Woodstock, New York he attended Kingston High School and graduated with Honors. After graduation he was accepted to The University of Miami School of Engineering however he ran out of gas in the Bradenton/Sarasota area where he has spent his entire career.

He quickly got a job in the concrete world and worked his way through college, obtaining an engineering degree. After college his first job was with Manatee County starting out as a drafts person and soon was doing roadway, storm water and utility design. After 12 years he spent the next 10 years in charge of the Project Management group for the County and obtained his Project Management certification. Then he decided it was time to get back to his roots as he told his mother, “Mom the best years of my life were those playing in the dirt pile with toy equipment”, so he ventured off to the private sector where he was hired as a general superintendent for a general contractor doing Civil type construction.

After four years he decided to spread his wing once again and go into business for himself. During that time, he obtained his Fire Line Installation License, an Underground Utility License, and a Commercial Contractors License. Six years later he ran into Mike Novak, one of the founders of Gator Grading & Paving, and started doing subcontract work Gator. In 2010 he was offered to join forces with Gator and since then he has obtained a General Contractor License and currently oversees the Asphalt, Underground Utility, and Grading Operations along with the maintenance shop and truck drivers.
